Ya'at'eeh and welcome!  My name is Bobby Vanwinkle Sr.  I am a National Park Service authorized guide of the Dineh or Navajo Tribe.  My greatest joy is my work, which is guiding visitors to the Canyon de Chelly National Monument.

Located in the heart of the Navajo Reservation in the northeast part of Arizona near the Four Corners, Canyon de Chelly is considered one of the most beautiful and scenic sites in the southwest.

I was born in Canyon de Chelly in a hogan (Navajo Round house) under the sacred spire of Spider Rock.  I have lived here all of my life and my people still live in the Canyon today. 

As I have been immersed in the Canyon lore since childhood, I have many stories to share with visitors.  From the Canyon's ancient occupation to the daily lives of the people of my tribe.

So I welcome you to come and visit our homeland and enjoy the beautiful red sandstones and the fantastic sunsets.
